Presentation Techniques

The does and don'ts of a presentation:

Does: 

• Keep eye contact with the crowd and move around 
• Speak slowly 
• Use visuals (images)
• Use a dark background 
• Engage the audience
• Use spell check! 
• Practice your presentation
• Know your information!   

Don'ts 

• Don't read 
• Don't speak in a monotone voice 
• Don't talk too fast 
• Don't use hard to read fonts
• Don't be lazy
• Don't hide behind the computer or speaker stand
• Don't overuse effects or transitions
